Happy 1st Month!

Wow... isn't it fast? :D

Today marks the first month since the birth of our blog, "In Faith With Love"!

I shouldn't be saying that we "came a long way"; such a saying is better reserved for next year. haha...

More importantly, I want to steal this chance to pray for all that amidst our busy schedule, let us continue to come back to Lord Jesus, and seek His teachings and His Word. He loves us and yearns to spend time with us! Let us not keep Him waiting outside, but instead, invite Him into our hearts to commune with us. :)

Let us find our strength and renewal in Him, be steadfast in our faith, and work with God's everlasting and unfailing love in our everyday life! :D

HGM

Hey guys,

Friday will be the upcoming Holy Ghost Meeting! Just wondering whether any of you guys will be interested in attending the meeting? Perhaps Lionel can poll it so we might discuss a meeting time on Thursday cell! Yup.

Oh ya! Pris has successfully shifted back to Woodlands! Praise God for nice weather and a smooth and swift transition. Pris and her family would also like to thank all those who helped out and those who offered but did not get to help out! Haha, really appreciate all of you guys! A prayer request for this Thurs would be to pray for the cleansing of the house and the sanctification of God's spirit to watch over the residence. Thanks Pple!

In His Love, Adriel

Announcement- Strength Needed!

Calling all strong men, and of cuz, any helpful ladies!

Pris will be officially moving her house from Boon Lay back to Woodlands on the 23 Sep 2007, and as her parents are not hiring an external mover, the burden of moving lies on us and anybody who is willing to help out! As the day falls on a Sunday, we'll be heading down to church before commencing the shift. So me and pris would really really appreciate if any of you guys could lend your strength and time as there are alot of items to be shifted and a lack of manpower. However, the event would probably last the whole day, but still, we'll gratefully welcome any help to those who volunteer!! Thanks! Do give your reply by Wednesday so that we can formulate our plans! Merci beaucoup! =)

Never Let Go...

This week has been crazy. It's Saturday today and I'm still in office, expecting another full day's work. Anyway, just this morning, while I was using a web service which randomly shows pictures on the web, I found this series. :D

A lot of times I allow myself to slack spiritually when work increases. I have not been blogging much at my Christian blog if you guys noticed. Anyway, I don't exactly believe in coincidence, since I believe everything is in God's plans. So yeah, as I said, I manage to find this series randomly this morning, and it really touches me a lot.

Never let go, never give up. No matter how tough, how harsh, how impossible, how tiring, let us continue to hold on to the cross. I've noted another thing from the pictures. In this life journey, we're never walking alone. There are a lot of people walking alongside with us, and we can find encouragement in each other, and grow together.

No matter how adverse or desperate your situation is at the moment, trust Lord to set things right. I learnt two days back from a podcast I heard from Holy Trinity Brompton, which is about Martha and Mary.

Luke 10:38-42 (NIV)
At the Home of Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"

41 "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

In the podcast, it was teaching us not be distracted by every day's activities. Life will always be busy with no room for our Lord if we allow so many things to occupy our time. Ultimately, only one thing matters; listening to Jesus.

Let us seek Him first, before we seek other things in life. :)

Ok, time for me to get back to work! God bless all!

Three Good News!

Hello everyone! Tuesday was a day filled with happy events, but I've got no time to share because of intense work commitments. However, here I am today, so here goes! :)

First piece of good news! My cousin Jorina's cyst in her brain is benign! Which in other words, her life is not at risk, and the doctor's decision is to leave it as it is at the moment. Another examination had been scheduled to be 6 months after, to make sure all is well, and then to decide if an operation is necessary. Thank you all for praying for her! :D I want to thank God for controlling her situation and I have faith that He will heal her of the cyst entirely before the next examination. :)

Second piece of good news is that night, while I was chatting with my God-mom (which is my mom's sister), our talk got drifted to my relationship with God. Though she is a staunch buddhist, even atheist in some sense, whatever questions she popped me I was able to share with her greater insight about my faith. It's a huge step for me, for it's the first time I really tried to share with her. I want to thank God for this opportunity to start reaching out to my family members. :)

Last and final piece of good news is that the company that wanted to hire me had confirmed the details! I had also agreed to make the move, as I analysed that it presents much more opportunities to learn than what I'm involved in at the moment. Though I can foresee that I may become very busy, I know I can trust God for His guidance in every area of my life. For our Lord will prepare us for whatever challenges that He places in front of us, is it not? ;) I really want to thank God for this career opportunity. :)

At last, no one can never thank God enough. I believe each of us has many things to thank God for, for whenever He gives us strength to overcome when we're weak, and He provides for our every need. Trust in the Lord, ask, and be blessed.

May God bless and watch over every one of us in the upcoming week. :)

In Whose Hands?

Hi people

Its been a really busy week for all of us isn't it? (As if there were ever a week that we were not busy. Haha) Yup. I am too, with a lab report to complete, a proposal to submit, tutorials to do and quizzes to study, makes me a little tired and worn out. But hey, I received this mail from my mom and I thought that I would share this small but beautiful truth from God with you guys. Hope you would take a minute to read through it!

Hands

A basketball in my hand is worth about $20.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hand is worth $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hand is worth $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens hands is worth $4.75 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket is worth millions in Roger Fenderer's hands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will chase away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hands is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

5 loaves and 2 fishes in my hands is just a couple of fish sandwiches.
5 loaves and 2 fishes in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might only produce a simple chair.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will bring salvation to the entire human race.
It depends whose hands it's in.

So put your worries, your concerns, your hopes, your fears, your anxiety, your burdens, your dreams, your relationship, your families and everything you hold dear in God's hands because,
It depends whose hands it's in.

Now that the gift of salvation is in YOUR hands,
What will you do with it?

First Post (Better Late than Never hee)

Yep yep, first post!

Don't really go online much so...... took me a bit long to come on the blog but I made it! Woohoo!

I just spent the 1st 10 mins like looking around. Very nice! Hmm... I wonder if we can add our cell name to the main blog page or something? Sorry ah not very IT savvy so not very sure of that kinda stuff.

Since it's my first post, wanna share something in relation to our beautiful post name: "In Faith with Love".
Paul described the Christians in Colosseus in this way:
"We have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints— the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel" Colossians 1:4-5

Since we have the same eternal hope that is beyond our lives on earth when we believe in the same words of truth, the gospel, let's strive to be like the Christians in Colosseus! Full of love for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and faith in our Lord Christ Jesus!

Yep, yep. Thanks for setting up the blog Lionel!

First things first

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours
in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of
coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large, empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked
the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and put them into the
jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then
asked the students again if the jar was full and they agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if
the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the
empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things-your God, family, your children, your health, your
friends, and your favorite passions--things that if everything else
was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter to you like your job, your studies,
your house, and your car.

The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no
room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the
small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are
important to you.

Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set
your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you
that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a
couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Have a great day everyone! ^^,

My Prince

(View Daily Bread)
Ephesians 5:22-33 (NIV)
Wives and Husbands

22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church - 30 for we are members of his body. 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32 This is a profound mystery - but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
