who has not rejected my prayer

As we walk in fellowship with Christ and sense His love so deep and true, may it bring to the soul it's highest joy as nothing in this world can do.

Preparation for Cell: 04 Aug 10

Dear bros and sis,

This week, we will be studying on Convictions Chapter 6, and as below are the questions assigned to each team for pre-cell research. :)

Preparation for Questions (don't know which team you belong to?):
  • Priscilla's Team - 6. Give an example of an evil compromise and an example of a good compromise.

  • Stanley's Team - 1. Explain how a conviction can become a driving force in one’s life.

  • Adriel's Team - 11. How serious are we when we pray “our Savior and Lord”? Discuss some key areas Christians should be aware of in practicing the Lordship of Christ.

  • Gabriel's Team - 10. With reference to the four temptations of compromise, what is Satan’s strategy?

In other news, for those who have yet to pay for the new Prayer Booster textbook ($8) and workbook ($1), please pass me the money tomorrow.

Also, there's a cell gathering on Thursday, 5 Aug. The cell is planning to watch "Despicable Me". Please kindly update our dear Gabriel who is helping in organising this if you are interested to go.

See you all tomorrow and God bless! :)

21 Jul 10: Memory Verse

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

16 Jun 10: Memory Verse

Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Attention! Young Adults Seminar by RBC

PEOPLE!

This is really a last minute post for an RBC Seminar scheduled tomorrow at St Andrew's cathedral. Both me and Pris are really interested in attending (Plus go see see the beautiful church as well!!), yeah but of course, the teachings on a lasting relationship in a messed up world.

I really feel that it is quite apt for some of us in this point of our lives now. (Come on, let's now be shy about this! LoL) And yes, I pray that this would enrich and encourage all of us in one way or another regarding the complicated issues of love and relationship in this sin depraved society of ours today!

Attached are the details. Know that this is really last minute, but if can come, COME! We'll go together and learn together! We'll confirm via sms ba!

RBC Ministries Youth Bible Teaching

In conjunction with the Bible conference, RBC Ministries is also holding a Youth Bible Teaching session. Rev. Paul Baxendale is the speaker for this event as well. In today's world of fleeting encounters, youth often find it challenging to establish a meaningful and lasting boy-girl relationship. Currently in his late thirties, Paul's relatively young age helps him connect with youth effectively as he seeks to provide spiritual guidance based upon the unchanging Word of God.

Designed for young people between the ages of 13 and 25, the event details are as follows:

Title: A Lasting Relationship In A Messed Up World
Speaker: Rev. Paul Baxendale
Date: 13 July 2010 (Tuesday)
Time: 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Venue: St Andrew's Cathedral, New Sanctuary.

If you have any queries, please e-mail or contact us at 6858-0900.

2010 June: Young Adult Combined Cell Meeting

Greetings BASICs,

As mentioned at the beginning of the month, we will be having the our combined young adult cell meeting this coming Friday, 25 Jun 2010.

The venue is at Mary’s Kafe at Kum Yan Methodist Church (on Queen’s Street).

How to get there? It's at the street next to the Singapore Art Museum (along Bras Basah Road). It's also about 7 mins walk from Bugis MRT or City Hall MRT, and a stone’s throw away from the Bras Basah Circle Line MRT station. If you are driving, places that you can park can be found at:
  1. NTUC Income Centre (car park entrance is from Queen Street itself)
  2. Hotel Royal @ Queens
  3. Blk 642 Waterloo Centre (HDB basement carpark)
Should you want to meet and go together, drop me a SMS. I'm sure we can arrange something. ;)

Last but not least, you are strongly encouraged to attend. Adriel and Priscilla are putting up a special item on behalf of our cell. Naturally, I look forward to your earnest participation to show your support, for we are all a single body of Christ. :)

Our love to God is measured by our everyday fellowship with others and the love it displays.
